Support for Faculty

  • Project and Event Collaboration: If your school or faculty is planning any projects or events in collaboration with a government official or entity, please let us know! OGCR can provide advice and support for executing a successful partnership or event, and your notification helps us keep track of the university’s impact.
  • Sharing Policy-Relevant Research: Our federal and local partners often want to learn more about the research done at GW. If students and faculty would like to share their research with policymakers, please contact our office. We are ready to help.
  • Processing Advocacy Requests: Disciplinary associations, advocacy groups, and higher education coalitions frequently ask for institutions to sign on to letters or participate in advocacy actions. To sign GW onto one of these letters or to align the university with an advocacy activity, the request must undergo a review process by leadership. If you would like an advocacy action to be considered by the university, please contact OGCR.
  • Supporting Advocacy Days: Disciplinary associations and professional groups frequently arrange Capitol Hill advocacy days to highlight research funding needs and programs of importance to the university. If faculty, staff, or students wish to participate in these events, please contact the Director of Federal Relations. Our office can often support scheduling and preparation for this outreach.
